Updates from Amy

Some notes from Rob Urbinati re: last week's Stumble-Throughs
  • The Seussical script itself is somewhat choppy, more like a parade of scenes than a story, so anything we can do to tie it together would be helpful.
  • In every scene, know what your character wants.
  • Enter AND exit the scene in character. Seuss world ends a few steps offstage, not at the curtain line.
  • Scenes without dancing/choreography need to have as much energy as those with. Be careful not to drop energy level.
  • Be sure you are presenting yourselves in levels--adds dimension instead of flatness.
  • Be sure to articulate words, emphasize final consonants, don't drop off end of lines--all necessary for audience to understand what is being said.

Overall, he was very impressed with the show--thinks we have a great show already and it will only get better! He was especially impressed with Mitchell and Raegan--great job!
